Surveillance and monitoring activities continue as planned for 2017.

Four camps are active and in almost all chicks are born. This year another 2 monitoring camps managed within the LIFE Project are going on, that lead to the 7 supervised sites h24. Even the SIM card of the camera traps are operating and we have already acquired information that may be useful in the future. This year we also have video surveillance systems that transmit in streaming on PC and mobile terminals and that record all activities at the site.

Positive monitoring data arrive both from Lanner falcon that from Bonelli’s eagles sites and in only one case Bonelli’s eagles abandoned the nest for natural causes.

It should be noted, however, that the poaching of birds of prey does not cease as evidenced by the recent actions carried out by the Forestry forces in various areas of Italy.
